Please include any designation or special instructions with your gift. Project NOW will provide a written acknowledgment for your records.

Your generosity may go even further through your employer. Many companies match charitable contributions made by employees, retirees, and in some cases spouses or partners.

Check with your employer’s human resources or benefits office to learn whether a matching-gift program is available. If your employer requires verification or documentation from Project NOW, please contact us and we will be glad to assist. Project NOW also welcomes workplace giving, corporate partnerships, and employee-led fundraising efforts.

If you are age 70½ or older, you may be able to make a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) directly from your IRA to Project NOW. A QCD can be a meaningful way to support our work while meeting applicable IRA distribution requirements.

To ensure your gift is processed correctly, ask your IRA administrator to send the distribution directly to Project NOW and include your name and contact information with the gift. Please consult your tax or financial adviser to determine whether a QCD is appropriate for your circumstances.

A gift of publicly traded stock, bonds, or mutual funds can be a meaningful way to support Project NOW’s mission. Project NOW accepts publicly traded securities, and donors may be eligible for charitable tax benefits based on the value of the securities at the time ownership is transferred.

Please contact us before initiating a transfer so we can provide delivery instructions and ensure your gift is properly identified and acknowledged. Gifts of closely held securities, such as private-company stock, require additional review and Board approval.

Celebrate, honor, or remember someone special through a gift to Project NOW. Memorial and honorary gifts are a meaningful way to recognize a loved one, friend, colleague, caregiver, or milestone while helping individuals and families build stability and opportunity.

When making your gift, please share the name of the person being honored or remembered and, if desired, the name and contact information of anyone who should receive notice of your thoughtful tribute. Project NOW will acknowledge the gift in accordance with your preferences.

A planned gift can create a lasting legacy of opportunity for the people and communities Project NOW serves. You may choose to include Project NOW in your will or trust, designate Project NOW as a beneficiary of a retirement account or life-insurance policy, or explore other charitable giving options.

Bequests through wills and trusts are welcome. Other planned-giving arrangements, including charitable gift annuities, charitable remainder trusts, and gifts of life insurance, may be considered after appropriate review. We encourage you to consult your attorney, tax professional, or financial adviser, and to let us know of your intentions so we can thank you and honor your wishes.

Project NOW may consider gifts of tangible personal property and other non-cash assets when they can be used in support of our programs or readily converted to benefit our mission. Examples may include equipment, technology, vehicles, artwork, auction items, or other useful items.

Please contact us before delivering or transferring a non-cash gift. Acceptance depends on factors such as the item’s condition, usefulness, title, storage needs, costs, and potential value to Project NOW. Donors are responsible for obtaining and paying for any qualified appraisal required for their tax reporting.

Your time, skills, and compassion can make a meaningful difference. Project NOW welcomes volunteers who want to support children and families, older adults, shelter participants, community outreach, special events, and other mission-focused activities.

Volunteer opportunities vary based on program needs, your interests, availability, skills, and any required training or screening. Individuals, families, workplace teams, students, faith communities, and service groups are encouraged to get involved.
Although volunteer hours are not eligible for a charitable tax receipt, Project NOW gratefully records volunteer service. When permitted by funding requirements, documented volunteer hours and donated professional services may be used as match for eligible federal grants and other funding opportunities.
