BEFORE YOU SCHEDULE

A Few Things to Know Before You Ride

Planning ahead helps us provide reliable transportation. Review these important details before scheduling your ride.

Your trip must begin or end in rural Rock Island County. Transportation outside the service area may be available—ask when scheduling.

Please schedule your ride by 12:00 PM the business day before your trip. Same-day transportation may be available when scheduling allows.

Note: There will be an additional $3.00 service fee for same-day transportation.

If you need transportation home, schedule your return ride in advance. Drivers are unable to wait while you are at an appointment or destination.

Riders may bring a maximum of 4 shopping bags. Drivers assistance can be requested for up to 2 bags, but not required.

Vehicles are wheelchair accessible, and service animals are welcome. Let us know about mobility or accessibility needs when you schedule your ride.

To help provide a safe, respectful and reliable ride for everyone, passengers are expected to:

  • Remain seated while the vehicle is moving and follow the driver’s safety instructions.
  • Keep aisles, doors and mobility-device securement areas clear.
  • Treat drivers and other passengers respectfully and keep conversations and audio at a reasonable volume.
  • Bring no more than two shopping-bag-sized packages that can be kept on your lap or beneath your seat.
  • Refrain from smoking, vaping, consuming alcohol or carrying weapons, hazardous materials or other prohibited items.
  • Keep service animals under control. Pets and comfort animals must remain in a secure carrier.
  • Provide and install an appropriate car seat or booster seat for children. Riders age 13 and younger must travel with a parent or legal guardian.
  • Be ready at the scheduled pickup time and ensure walkways, ramps and driveways are safe and clear.

Food and drinks are permitted only as an approved accommodation. Mobility devices and medically necessary equipment are welcome when they can be transported and secured safely. Some types of assistance require prior approval.

A $5 voluntary donation is suggested to support transportation services, but no rider will be denied service because they are unable to donate.

Please review the complete document for information about accommodations, cancellations, service animals, prohibited conduct, suspensions and the appeals process.
