Community Services
Project NOW provides a variety of services that help people with basic needs throughout Rock Island, Henry and Mercer counties. The Community Services Division provides application assistance, support, information and referral to the residents of these counties. Funded primarily by the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity, the Illinois Department of Human Services and the Illinois State Board of Education, customers are helped to manage their needs:
Basic Needs Assistance:
Project NOW offers a variety of programs designed to aid in personal and community economic development. These programs were developed with the assistance of Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) funds and are designed to help provide eligible customers with opportunities to increase their earning potential.
Project NOW has a long history of providing help to people who are struggling to meet very basic needs, including:
- Utility Assistance
- Head Start
- Homeless Services
- Housing Programs
- Property Rentals
- Weatherization
- Senior Services
- RIM Rural Public Transit
- Eviction Diversion Program
